All losses are difficult. And after all losses, there is a natural grieving process that occurs. Everyone experiences it at some point, and everyone experiences it in a different way. Your experience of this loss will depend on the nature of the loss, and how it affected your life. Some people work harder, others cannot manage to get out of bed in the morning, while others are constantly mad and irritable all the time.
Losses can vary from the death of a loved one, to the loss of a job, to the loss of a person's health and independence, or to the loss of ones hopes and dreams. Each is significant, and each one involves a major transition in one's life.

Acknowledging that you have experienced a major loss in your life is taking the first step. Sometimes just taking this step is the hardest.
Counselling will help you understand how your loss has impacted your life, and what changes or adjustments are needed. You will learn some important skills to overcome the daily problems and how to cope with special occasions.
