Losing Control
Understand The Problem
Every one of us has lost control of some part of our life at one time or another. For some this may range from watching too much TV, to excessive shopping. However for others, losing control can involve serious behaviors such as compulsive drinking and gambling, an addiction to sex or drugs, as well as eating disorders.
Each of these behaviors was developed to serve a purpose. Each behavior was developed to fill a void in your life. We all have needs that must be met one way or another. If we do not know how to take the more positive route, often we get stuck on a more destructive road and cannot get off. As time goes by, destructive behaviors increase, and problems associated with them increase also. This often includes marital and financial problems, and health issues, compounded by bouts of depression and guilt.
"The Person Is Not The Problem. The Problem Is The Problem."
